Skills Maintenance E Learning component

Before attending any practical session at the club, you will need to complete the E Learning Skills maintenance. We have compiled a quick cheat sheet on how to complete E Learning for Skills  Maintenance which NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ATTENDING PRACTICAL SESSIONS AT THE CLUB – CLICK HERE

NOTE: if you attend a practical session before completing, we will not be able to continue with your skills maintenance.

A member’s proficiency is valid until 31 December the season after proficiency is gained.  The cut-off point is June 30.  For example, if a member gains proficiency in September 2018, it is valid until 31 December 2019.  If a member gained proficiency in February 2019 it is only valid until 31 December 2019.  If a member gains proficiency on 15 July 2019 it is valid until 31 December 2020.

Provide First Aid has a three year proficiency requirement.

Failure to complete Skills Maintenance (Proficiency) before 31 December results in suspension from your patrol team and an immediate restriction to member benefits. Non-proficient members may not perform patrols, operate rescue craft or compete in Surf Life Saving competitions. Non-proficient members will have their club keys disabled.

Information regarding Skills Maintenance (Proficiency) is emailed to all patrolling members well in advance of the cut-off date to ensure all members have a reasonable opportunity to attend.  It is the member’s responsibility to ensure they book into a session.
