EDUCATION
We will be having several training courses happening after Christmas. The following courses are being arranged and dates will be confirmed this week:
Bronze Medallion Course
This course will commence on the 29th of January, Few spots remaining, please talk to your friends and Nipper parents about doing the course. It is vital for the Nippers to have water safety out there when our younger members are training and competing, and the Bronze will qualify parents to assist in this vital role.
IRB Crew Course
This course will start on 24th January, 2024. Click here, for more information about the course
First Aid
This year we will be holding several first aid courses at the club. These courses are for a nationally approved first aid for use not only on the beach but also the workplace. For members wishing to upgrade their Advanced Resuscitation qualifications the first aid is the first step and holding a first aid certificate will also be able to be used towards the Bronze Medallion emergency care portion of the course. We will be holding a course on the 25th February, with times to be confirmed, there are a few spots remaining so email Tony to secure a seat.

Jack had a 10th in the surf race, 5th in the Ironman and also took part in the pathways team events achieving a 2nd in the Mixed Surf Team. Congratulations to both boys on a successful interstate! championships.
Super Surf Teams League
Super Surf Teams League was held last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This event sees 17 teams across Australia compete in 3 separate rounds. NCC was represented by Ash Windsham who was representing the NSW Rays team. Nipper Nats
On Sunday our junior competitors converged on Manly beach to compete in the Annual Nipper Nats carnival, which sees competitors from around Australia compete in one of the biggest junior carnival of the season. NCC has a team of 66 kids from Under 9s to Under 14s competing in both beach and water events. The surf conditions were challenging and the competition on the beach was hot. NCC had a lot of great performances and finished with a 6 th place on the point score. This carnival was a great opportunity for the coaching team to see where the kids are at and areas of focus moving forward as we prepare for the Branch and State Championships.
As always a huge thank you must go to our Officials and Water Safety that allow us to compete at these carnivals.
