Reporting in from Scarborough beach WA at the Australian Surf Life Saving titles.

The titles started with a bang at the Youth Championships (13 to 15).

Highlights were:

Gold U15 Male Swim , Ironman & 2km Swim  – Luke Higgs
Gold U15 Female Board and Ironwoman – Pipi  Te Pania
Gold U13 Female Ironwoman – Sophie Clues
Gold 15 Male Surf Team – Sam Davis/ Sam Chaffer/ Will Jeffrey/ Luke Higgs
Gold  U15 Female Board Relay – Pipi Te Pania/ Jaya Lilienthal/ Zara Kasprowicz
Gold U13/14 Male Cameron Relay – Carlito Vesley, Jack Stewart, Tyler Brown, Danny King

Silver – U15 Female Surf Swim – Pipi Te Pania
Silver – U14 Female Champion Lifesaver – Kasey Bolt

Their were multiple top 6 placings a finalists, with our Beachie Harrison Wagland finishing 5th in 2km U15 run and Pipi finishing 4th in U15 2km Female Beach fun

Masters highlights

Despite and early set back where member Mario Vesley was taken to hospital with 3 fractured vertebrae after being struck by a ski in the shore dump , our Masters team did really well

SLSSNB DEVELOPMENT SQUAD 

Nominations are now open for Water and Beach competitors from U10s to U14s age categories to be selected in the 2023-2024 Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches (SLSSNB) Development Squad.
The group will be engaged in several training and development activities that will commence in the off-season and run through to the end of next season. The objective of this program is to create a pathway for our dedicated and promising young competitors to stay engaged with surf lifesaving and further develop their surf sport skills.
